I’ve been in or on the water since I started racing dinghys at eight. Swimming and crew in high school and college, rowing for Margate City beach patrol, competitive racing on San Francisco bay in sailboats and ocean shells.
My wife introduced me to kayaking 25 years ago. We’ve paddled and camped across the country. I became involved in expedition kayak racing with Watertribe.org and after 6 tries set the Class 1 record in 2018 which had stood for 13 years.
My goto kayak is a surfski because that is where you really learn the forward stroke. 
I started repairing skis when I broke my own and have done a number of quality repairs to others.
Becoming an Epic kayak & surfski dealer is just a logical extension of what i do.
I love the sport and enjoy getting other people involved.
